Job Description/Responsibilities:

Report to the CTO and work at our Hong Kong Head Office, this position is responsible for the entire software development of all products of JobsDB. This position is strategically important to the success of the company’s business by establishing robust software architecture for each JobsDB product with efficient development methodologies in order to implement solutions successfully in a timely and cost effective manner.

• To lead a team of internal developers and manage outsourcing partners for all JobsDB products’ software developments in all activities of a software development life cycle that includes requirement studies, system analysis, design, coding, testing, roll out and review.
• To design and maintain robust, optimum performance, capable for agility and scalable for expansion architectures and platforms for all JobsDB products
• To enforce an efficient development methodology and framework for all developments (internal and external) so that all developments can be in a timely and cost effect manner and can be easily maintained and understood by other developers in the future
• To allocate development resource for each development project in accordance to the priority set by senior management
• To bring in necessary technology, technique and skill for the benefit of all developments and JobsDB products

Requirements:

• Degree in Computing Studies, Software Engineering or equivalent academic achievement. Master degree preferred
• At least 15 years of software development experience, including 10 years in leading full software life cycle development experience, and 5 years extensive web site development experience in either a famous web site company or software company dedicated for web site development
• Expert knowledge in:
• High traffic web site hardware/software infrastructure
• Speed optimization of a web page
• Object Oriented Design
• Database Schema Design
• Microsoft Internet Information Server 6.0 setting, limitation and abilities
• Microsoft SQL Server 2000, 2005 and related tools
• Transaction SQL
• .Net Framework 1.1 and 2.0
• ASP, ASP.Net, Visual Basic 6.0, Visual Basic.Net, C++, C#
• DHTML 3.0, 4.0, CSS, Jscript, JavaScript, VBScript
• XML, XSL, XSLT, SOAP
• Web Services, COM, DCOM, Message Queue, Service Broker
• Web 2.0 applications and related tools
• Search Engine theory, tools and application
• SEO theory and demonstrated result of applying such theory
• Internet / Network tools such as cache engine and web accelerator, email integration, LDAP integration, web clipping, stress testing tools, etc.
• Having a valid Microsoft Certificated Professional status is a definite advantage
• Good knowledge of one of the industrial software development / documentation methodology / framework such as Function Points Analysis, MSF, DSDM, SSADM, etc.
• Strong project management skill and good knowledge in industrial project management standard such as PRINCE II, PMI, CMMI, etc.
• Demonstrated team building experience
• Good communication and presentation skill in English, Cantonese and Putonghua
• Willing to travel in South East Asia Countries and Main Land China
